Volunteering
The following volunteer opportunities are currently available for people looking for meaningful volunteer work helping to build a new school:
Part Time Administrative Assistant: if you have good computer and writing skills using Microsoft Office and/or Quickbooks, we need someone to help with any of the following:
- enrollment
- accounting/bookkeeping
- general office management
- light filing
- phone calls
- GoLive website updating
- newsletter publishing
Some training provided. Duties may take between 5- 15 hours a week. Flexible schedule. Some may be completed from home. This position may lead to paid employment if desired.
Part Time Marketing and Fundraising: we need help raising money through grant writing, business partnerships, marketing, and developing a capital campaign. If you have experience and would like to help, we would be delighted to talk with you. A percentage of money raised could be negotiated in exchange.

Lead Learner: train to be a Light Way adult lead learner. Our program allows the role of lead learner (teacher) to move freely from child to adult. Adults wishing to participate as a volunteer lead learner must be able to work regularly. Men and women encouraged to apply.

Guest Speakers/Lead Learners: if you have experience working with children teaching yoga, tai chi, qi gong, art, music, science fun, magic tricks, mindfulness, gardening, or any other activities in alignment with Light Way Schools core beliefs, we invite you to share your gifts. This volunteer opportunity can be a one time event or be ongoing. This position may lead to paid part time employment if desired.
