  • Self-Analysis and Discovery (Meyers-Briggs personality test)

We start with a self-assessment instrument called Meyers-Briggs to provide insight into personality and interests. This information can be used by the learner to better understand him/herself.  In the safe container we create learners feel free to express their true selves and their feelings.  They will be introduced to different aspects of themselves some of which society has labeled negative.  There will be no judgement attached to exploring the light and the dark, the soul and the shadow.  The objective is for the learner to explore who he/she really is, decide who he/she wants to be and learn how to recreate him/herself in the next grandest vision of who he/she is.

  •      Exploration of Self-Empowerment Concepts

Here is where the learners explore and put into practice various concepts aimed at unleashing creativity and bringing peace through self-empowerment.  Some concepts are:

  1. Visualization

  2. Meditation

  3. "I" statements

  4. Breathing techniques

  5. Conscious Language

  6. Selective programming (What are you feeding your mind?)

  7. Awareness of limiting thoughts and belief systems.

  8. Mirror work.

  9. Living in harmony with nature.

  10. Harnessing light.

  11. Chakra clearing

  12. Reading of an empowerment language dictionary.

  •      Creative Visualization/Meditation

This technique and subsequent journaling and voluntary sharing helps learners discover their own truth which is sometimes buried deep within.

  •      Intention Setting/Conscious Languaging/Healthful Food

Learners will be taught the intention code and concept so that they may consciously grow in gratitude for what they already have and may learn how to set positive intentions using conscious language.  This intention process begins with the sharing of healthful food brought by all participants.  The food is blessed by all and shared in community. Then we gather in circle to express our gratitudes and craft and state our intentions - a powerful way to end our day together and send out focused intentions around our dreams for a better world.   All learners receive an Intenders handbook and copy of the code to take with them.

  •      Conscious Language

Learners will come to understand the purpose of being very aware of the language they are using on a daily basis, minute by minute.  Words and thoughts have power.  They will also learn the art of choosing words that express what they want in their lives.

  •      Active Listening

An essential tool for all.  Through our democratic council the art of listening is learned and becomes as valuable as talking.

  •      Body Movement

Most weeks we have a guest presenter who teaches concepts of various body movement techniques.  So far we have qi gong, yoga, dance, and tai chi lined up.  We also have plans for presenters to teach a little on essential oils and energy including an energy healing technique.

  •     Healthful Food

Briefly stated we consider food that is as fresh as possible to be healthful.  No sodas or junk food are allowed on the property.  Sugar is avoided.  We provide filtered Nikken water for free.

  •      Nature Walks

Weather permitting we begin each session with a walk along the bayou where we relax and do our meditation and sometimes our body movement exercises.

  •      Spiritual Principles

We are working with Neale Donald Walsch's School of New Spirituality to bring the concepts of Neale's "Conversations With God" books to life.  www.schoolofthenewspirituality.com We are a school based in principles of spirituality.  We do not support any one religious belief or group.  We find the concepts in Neale's books to be universal. For example the ideas that we are all one, that lack and separation from Source are illusions created by our own programming and egos,  and that through meditation we can quiet the mind and find peace are universals.  All are welcome regardless of beliefs.

* Light Way Schools does not endorse, promote or support any one religion. We welcome ALL people and believe in the ultimate ONENESS of humanity.

  •      Technology/Marketing Techniques/Community Outreach Resources

We use all three of these and anything else needed to help our learners bring their dreams to reality.
